Welcome
The future of our food belongs to you – the young people of the world!
To build better food systems that are sustainable, inclusive, climate positive and resilient we count on YOU(TH). Your voice matters, and your proposed actions will make a difference for the future of food:
- Work together on the changes you want for a better food future for us all
- Mobilize other young people across the planet
- Call for support and improvement from governments and other stakeholders
This online youth consultation is in support of the UN Food Systems Summit being convened by the United Nations Secretary-General in September 2021. Your participation and voice will help make a difference in building a better food system for our future.
Join these youth consultations, propose your solutions, define your actions, and interact with experts and peers in 5 discussion groups: nutrition, consumption, production, employment, resilience to shocks, and vote on your favorite priorities and solutions in the Survey Room.
Click here to learn more about the process and the impressive work led by the UNFSS that generated the 5 areas presented in the discussion rooms.
The UN Food System Summit (UNFSS) and the World Food Forum – powered by global youth (WFF) will convene a Global Youth event on July 15th to consolidate the results of these consultations. This will inform youth priorities and commitments that will be presented to heads of states, industry leaders and decision-makers at the UNFSS Pre-Summit (26-28 July 2021).
Be the change, propose actions, and join the discussion!
Special thanks to MGCY, the FAO Youth Committee, Action4Change, Bites of TransFoodmation, Younga, Children Youth MG of UNEP, SUN, Kitchen Connection, Real Food Systems, the WFP Youth Network and many many others!
Note: These youth discussions follow the thematic areas or 'Action Tracks' of the UNFSS. Each Action Track has a set of related propositions or solutions, which will eventually be grouped to form ‘Action Coalitions’. These Action Coalitions are expected to take forward solutions that are considered transformative and systemic. Learn more on the UNFSS Community platform.
