2023 Behavioural Science Week

Let us know in the Community Lounge if you want a debrief of the 2023 BeSci week.
Welcome to your space to discuss how behavioural approaches can contribute to our Nature, Climate, Energy and Chemicals and Waste work!
Objective. The overarching aim of this new sub-CoP Environment is to enable UNDP to speak with a coherent voice on how behavioural approaches can contribute to our nature/climate work.
Expected results. By the end of the year, we want to:
1. Map. Complete the great map started by our colleague Roxani Roushas, so we can capture all projects that apply a behavioural approach specifically in our portfolio
2. Consolidate a UNDP narrative. What is our added value as an organization in applying a behavioural approach to influence system transformations in the environment/climate/energy/chemicals spheres?
3. Consolidate the sub-Community as a permanent safe space for learning and co-creation on behavioural approaches for nature/climate/energy/chemicals, unleashing the power of collective intelligence on this issue across the organization
How to engage?
Introduce yourself/ask a question. What do you want to learn about behavioural approaches? What successful project do you have to share? Let the community know you, so please introduce yourself and post any question/ suggestion into our Community Lounge below, or directly contact your community facilitators Patricia Purcell and Josie Raine (copy Martin Cadena)
Access and share resources. Do you know the UN has a Behavioural Science Group? Have you read about the best behaviour and environment studies of 2022? These and more are accessible through our Content section
Lead an engagement. If you have applied or are in the process of applying a behavioural approach to your environment/climate/energy/chemicals work, we invite you to share the lessons learned with the community
Join our live sessions. We will hold regular discussions featuring internal and external guest speakers where you and your partners will have the opportunity to showcase your efforts to drive transformative behaviour change. We encourage you to comment in the lounge, share your experience and suggest relevant resources or events to the wider community.
When is our first live session? Stay tunned as we will soon invite you to kick off our community and to discuss with experts on Behavioural Approaches for nature, climate, energy and waste 101
Help us to shape our knowledge network on Behavioural approaches for Nature, Climate, Energy, and Chemicals and Waste.
By answering the following questions you will be orienting the network on specific thematic areas we need to focus on in future sessions to connect the dots between our programming areas and their relevance to behavioural approaches.
