The first international workshop was held on May 12-16th 2025, at UNEP headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, to build technical capacity for implementation at national level. The objective of the workshop was to increase capacity, awareness, and outreach to relevant stakeholders by identifying problems and co-creating country-led solutions. These will contribute to the implementation of the GBF, especially targets 22 and 23, as well as the CBD Gender Plan of Action 2023-2030, in the seven participating countries.
