WELCOME TO THE NATIONAL CONSULTATION IN THE LEAD UP TO THE STOCKHOLM+50 MEETING
Indonesia's national consultation aims to stimulate an inclusive whole-of-society and whole-of-government dialogue on the main themes of Stockhom+50 as they relate to Indonesian context. This consultation space provides a virtual platform for ideas, insights, innovation, stocktaking important issues and achievements highlighted and further discussed needs for the following three public dialogues.
- Leadership Dialogue 1 : Reflecting on the urgent need for action to achieve a healthy planet and prosperity for all.
- Leadership Dialogue 2 : Achieving a sustainable and inclusive recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Leadership Dialogue 3 : Accelerating the implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development in the context of the Decade of Action.
Indonesia will conduct 3 public dialogues from April to May. The public dialogues will inform Indonesia's key agenda to implement the global environmental agenda and gather stakeholders' views on innovative solutions and bolder commitment to make a healthy planet for the prosperity of all. All relevant major stakeholder groups, including women, youth, older persons, persons with disabilities, indigenous peoples, and local communities, as well as other representatives from civil society and the private sector, are encouraged to contribute to the discussions.
To better inform the stakeholders about Stockholm+50, we started with two introductory webinars to the Stockholm+50 initiative in March 2022 with representatives from universities and civil society, co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The introductory webinars discussed the lessons learnt from Indonesia related to the main themes of Stockhom+50.
