Stockholm +50: First National consultation and launch of the Green Hub in Uzbekistan
April 29, 2022, the first consultation was organized jointly with the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan and was dedicated to the Green Growth Framework. The round table discussion was attended by representatives of various national ministries and departments, international organizations, as well as representatives of civil society, academia and community groups.

Ўзбекистонда 29 апрель куни Прогнозлаштириш ва макроиқтисодий тадқиқотлар институтида «Green Hub» платформасининг расмий очилиш маросими бўлиб ўтди. Мазкур платформа ғояларни шакллантириш, билимларни йиғиш ва уларни ўзаро алмашиш орқали мамлакатда “яшил” иқтисодиётга ўтиш жараёнига янада кўмаклашиш учун ўз ишини бошлайди.
The UN General Assembly is convening an international meeting, “Stockholm+50: a healthy planet for the prosperity of all – our responsibility, our opportunity” in Stockholm on 2 and 3 June 2022, on the eve of World Environment Day. In preparation for Stockholm+50 international meeting, a number of national consultations are being held, organized by UNDP Uzbekistan in cooperation with national and international partners.
Состоялся запуск IFMR GREEN HUB в Узбекистане
В Стратегии развития Нового Узбекистана на 2022-2026 гг. одним из приоритетных направлений является переход к «зеленой» экономике. В частности, планируется повышение до 2026 года на 20% энергоэффективности экономики и сокращения на 20% выброса вредных газов за счет внедрения технологий «зеленой» экономики. Также на Минэкономразвития возложена задача по разработке и мониторингу программы перехода к «зеленой» экономике в Узбекистане.

В рамках подготовки к международной встрече Стокгольм+50 проводится ряд национальных консультаций, организуемых ПРООН в Узбекистане в сотрудничестве с международными и национальными партнёрами.
Цель национальных консультаций – стимулировать диалог между обществом и правительством по основным темам международной встречи Стокгольм+50.

Stockholm +50: Integrated Roadmap for the sustainable development of the Aral Sea region
On May 6, United Nations Development Programme, the Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan and the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan co-hosted a workshop session for the Working Group on Sustainable Investments under the Advisory Committee of UN Multi-Partner Human Security Trust Fund for the Aral Sea Region in Nukus, Karakalpakstan.

Third national consultation: Development of the National Climate Change Adaptation Plan
The theme of the third consultation has dedicated to “Updated NDC of the Republic of Uzbekistan and development of the National Climate Change Adaptation Plan”. The event brought together participants from various national ministries and agencies, international development partners as well as representatives of the civil society, academic circles, and community groups.
STOCKHOLM +50: THE FINAL NATIONAL CONSULTATION
May 13, 2022, the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with the United Nations Development Programme held the fourth (final) national consultation in preparation for the international meeting ‘Stockholm+50: a healthy planet for the prosperity of all – our responsibility, our opportunity’.
