Launch of the Stockholm+50: National Consultations in the Philippines

A Pre-Assessment Workshop will be beneficial for the following objectives: a) consolidate Philippine milestones from 1972 until the latest international convention/ conference; b) identify and agree on the focus thematic areas for the national consultations; and c) discuss the S+50 Leadership Dialogue questions. To ensure these objectives are met, other sectoral Government Agencies including the Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Energy, Department of Transportation and Department of Agriculture were also invited on top of the key line agencies.

Why is the National Stakeholder Consultations important?

The national stakeholder consultation is important to stimulate an inclusive whole-of-society and whole-of-government dialogue on the main themes of Stockholm+50. The Philippines will conduct a series of multi-stakeholder dialogues that will focus on the government priorities in relevance to the national context and to contribute to the priorities of the government beyond the international meeting. This consultation space provides a virtual platform for ideas, insights, and innovation.
