Enhancing access to sustainable energy for the most vulnerable requires leveraging the latest technology to identify, at a granular level, those on the brink of exclusion. Acknowledging the transformative power of geospatial data in supporting its corporate pledge, the GeoHub—hosted at UNDP’s flagship Data Futures Exchange (DFx)—serves as a gateway for high-resolution data and UNDP’s collective intelligence on geospatial solutions. The collaboration with the IBM Sustainability Accelerator enables the organization to harness the latest technologies, such as hybrid cloud and AI, to fully utilize GeoHub’s capabilities in forecasting electricity access and revealing hidden spatial inequalities in energy transition.
