UNDP has delivered 75 health investment cases with partners as of 2024 and working to deliver 61 more. Health investment cases span areas of NCDs, tobacco control, mental health, air pollution, nutrition, access to medicines and road traffic safety, among others.
Investment cases are a strong advocacy tool for governments to make the case for stronger investments and partnerships for health. They quantify the toll on health and economy, and estimate the benefits of investment. In doing so, they provide countries with tools and evidence-based data to advance policy that reduces inequalities, fosters inclusive governance and supports sustainable systems.
