Welcome to the UNFSS+4 Independent Stakeholder Report Consultation

This open consultation is part of the development of the UNFSS+4 Independent Stakeholder Report, a critical submission to the upcoming UN Food Systems Summit +4 Stocktake, taking place in Ethiopia, 27–29 July 2025. We invite all non-state actors to provide their feedback and insights to refine and enhance the report, ensuring an inclusive, participatory approach to UNFSS+4 preparations and outcomes and strengthen knowledge sharing.

About the UNFSS+4 Independent Stakeholder Report

The UNFSS+4 Independent Stakeholder Report provides an independently framed assessment of food systems transformation from the perspective of non-state actors (NSAs), reflecting on progress since the 2021 UN Food Systems Summit, identifying persistent challenges and highlighting opportunities for investment and action. Is also reflects on NSA commitment, discussing the need for stakeholders to set clear objectives for themselves and report on them regularly.

This draft report has been informed by a broad data collection process, including an open questionnaire (which ran from 7 March – 26 April, with over 500 responses), as well as inputs from regional preparatory meetings for the UNFSS+4.

Who should participate in the consultation?

All non-state actors are invited to contribute their feedback on the draft report as well as their insights, experiences, and expertise in response to the guiding questions in the discussion rooms - this includes farmers and producers, food chain workers and trade unions, civil society and consumer organizations, private sector representatives, youth, women, Indigenous Peoples, researchers and academia, and EVERY stakeholder committed to food systems transformation.
