We are excited to invite you to the webinar series "The Digital Hour" organized by the Chief Digital Office (CDO). If you are interested in all things digital, and want to know how others across UNDP and from other agencies and businesses are using digital to maximize their impact, this webinar series is for you.
About this session
In 2021 alone, UNDP built, invested in, and implemented 580 digital solutions in 82 countries in response to COVID-19. Working across a network of 170 country offices, the scale of UNDP’s investments in digital solutions to solve critical development challenges in countries is significant. However, too many valuable digital products fail to build the necessary traction to sustain itself over the long term and wither away when the project funding ends.
In this session, we will hear Assane Gueye, Head of CMU Africa-led Upanzi Network, and feature experts and leaders from mature Digital Public Goods (DPGs) to share what it takes to transform digital solutions into sustainable open-source products with a business model for optimizing development impact and contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals.
