Go to SDG 16 Reporting
Event Overview
The Global Policy Centre for Governance held six interactive regional webinars between 14 and 16 January 2025, tailored to National Statistical Offices, government institutions and UN agencies directly involved in producing and reporting on the SDG 16 indicators under UNDP’s custodianship: 16.3.3, 16.6.2, 16.7.1b, 16.7.1c, and 16.7.2. These SDG targets cover key governance indicators measuring access to civil justice, representative, inclusive and responsive governance systems, and their efficacy in service delivery.
Collaboration, Objectives and Impact
- Ensure the successful collection and reporting of these indicators: the Global Policy Centre for Governance partnered with UNDP’s Regional Hubs in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, the Arab States, Europe and Central Asia, and Asia for the regional webinars to complement the fourth Global Call for Data focused on the SDG 16 indicators under UNDP’s custodianship launched on 3 December 2024 with a deadline for reporting on 31 January 2025.
- Capacity-building and knowledge exchange on indicators: These webinars provided platforms for capacity-building and exchange of knowledge and best practices on the measurement and reporting of these indicators.
- Global attendance was high: 210 participants from 102 countries, representing a broad coalition of National Statistical Offices, government institutions, and UNDP/UN agencies.
