Digital transformation is creating unprecedented opportunities for women to participate in economies, access markets and finance, build businesses, acquire skills, engage in public debate and exercise political voice. Yet these opportunities cannot be fully realised if women are not safe online.
UNDP supports countries to address technology-facilitated gender-based violence as a development challenge, connecting gender equality with effective governance, rule of law and access to justice, and rights-based digital transformation. Our added value lies in helping institutions move from evidence and standards to practical systems for prevention, protection, remedy and accountability.
