Health Disaster Recovery Needs Assessment (HDRNA) and Recovery Planning
This fully online self-paced short course focuses on familiarising participants with the approach of conducting systematic post-disaster needs assessments and recovery planning and their application to health hazard-related disasters such as the Coronavirus 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic, for which the COVID-19 Recovery Needs Assessment (CRNA) guidance was prepared. Risk-Informed Development: A Strategy Tool for Integrating Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation into Development
This strategy tool addresses repeated calls for practical guidance on integrating both disaster and climate related risks into development, and an approach that helps overcome policy siloes and fosters joined-up implementation and localization. It is a contribution to risk-informing the 2030 Agenda and risk-proofing development investments in UNDP programme countries. The tool emphasized the importance to establish links to other types of risks, thus acknowledging the multi-dimensionality of risk.
