The 2026 Report of the United Nations Committee for Development Policy highlights the role of strengthened South-South cooperation 

The United Nations Committee for Development Policy released the report of its 28th plenary meeting (E/2026/33, Supplement No. 13). The report presents conclusions from the Committee’s discussions on several key issues related to next steps for global development, including financing for development, trade, and the measurement of development. It also highlights the urgent need to strengthen South-South cooperation in an increasingly complex global landscape, underscoring the value of mutual learning, experience-sharing, and peer-driven solutions as practical and effective pathways to advance sustainable development.
