➡️Back to the DRR and Recovery Community

Generally in DRR and recovery, UNDP collaborates closely with UN agencies, international organizations, civil society, and other stakeholders such as UNDRR, WB/GFDRR, ODI, IFRC and others. UNDP is also the Managing Agent of CADRI, a member of the Governing Council of the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI), and has a observer or member function in several other partnerships.

Strengthening Disaster Risk Governance and Recovery Capacities

A part of the Intra-ACP Disaster Risk Reduction Programme funded under the 11th European Development Fund (EDF), the Strengthening Disaster Risk Governance and Recovery Capacities project is a collaborative effort between the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the European Union (EU), the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), and the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS). This joint program is dedicated to enhancing disaster risk governance, strengthening recovery capacities, and building resilience in vulnerable communities. By scaling-up community-based disaster risk reduction, enhancing capacity building activities, and conducting post-disaster needs assessments, the project aims to pave the way for a safer and more resilient future for communities facing disasters.
