Frequently Asked Questions
What is the AI Diffusion Jobs and Tools Programme?
The AI Diffusion Jobs and Tools Programme is being developed by the AI Hub for Sustainable Development and the UNDP AI Trust & Safety Re-imagination Programme. It is intended to strengthen the tools, skills and services needed to make AI trusted and work effectively across different languages, sectors and contexts, and to help promising capabilities connect with the institutions, practitioners and markets that need them.
Is the programme already finalized?
No. This EOI is intended to identify promising partners and help UNDP design the programme to best focus on the real needs, barriers and opportunities already emerging in different markets.
Why should I express interest now?
This EOI is the entry point for organizations and individuals that want to gain early global insights and influence the programme's development to best serve their communities, industries and areas of practice. Selected partners will be invited to special consultations, convenings or other related activities.
Who can express interest?
Organizations, teams and individuals based in or operating in Africa and Latin America and the Caribbean may submit an expression of interest.
Can I express interest from outside those regions?
Not at this stage. You need to be based in, or working in, Africa or Latin America and the Caribbean.
Can my organization express interest in more than one way?
Yes. An organization may have an internal tool or resource ready to scale globally, provide related onboarding, skilling or services, and also be well positioned to contribute as an advisor or programme partner. We welcome expressions of interest from organizations and individuals with relevant expertise, market knowledge, professional networks or practitioner communities that could help shape the programme and identify emerging needs and opportunities.
Do I need to be a registered company?
No. Organizations, teams, research groups and individuals may express interest.
Is this an internship or a job?
No. The programme works with existing organizations, teams and individuals.
Is funding available?
No. This EOI is voluntary. The programme will not provide direct funding to participating organizations, teams or individuals. It is being designed around non-financial support and multilateral collaboration, including connections to relevant expertise, practitioners, partners and networks, as well as opportunities to participate in programme activities and explore potential applications of promising tools and services.
What language is the programme delivered in?
English. You or a representative from your team will need to take part in English.
What happens after I submit?
Following the 30 October deadline, UNDP will review submissions and identify respondents whose expertise or networks are particularly relevant to the programme. Selected respondents may be invited to follow-up conversations, programme design sessions, convenings or other activities as the programme develops.
Does submitting an EOI guarantee participation?
No. Submitting an expression of interest does not guarantee participation in future activities related to this programme.
