The UNDP Strategic Plan 2026-2029 is now complete - thank you for your contributions! The UNDP Strategic Plan 2026-2029 has been finalized and endorsed by the UNDP Executive Board. We want to express our gratitude to the SparkBlue community for your valuable insights during the consultations held in November 2024. Your responses to our guiding questions – on emerging issues affecting people and planet, the long-term changes UNDP should prioritize, and how we can better collaborate for systems change – helped shape our strategic direction for the next four years. The final Strategic Plan centers on four key objectives: prosperity for all, effective governance, crisis resilience, and a healthy planet. These are powered by three accelerators: digital and AI transformation, gender equality, and sustainable finance. This framework reflects many of the priorities and approaches you highlighted during our consultations. We're particularly pleased that the plan embraces the systems thinking approach that many of you emphasized - moving beyond sector-based solutions to address the interconnected roots of development challenges through integrated, evidence-driven action. Your engagement demonstrates the power of collaborative consultation in shaping development strategy. Thank you for helping us build a plan that's responsive to the complex realities facing our world and the communities we serve together. Access the full Strategic Plan and related resources here. |
