WELCOME TO THE TRANSFORMING SYSTEMS COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENCE SPACE!
For 30 years, the Human Development Report (HDR) has placed the richness of human life as a key yardstick of progress, exploring a wide range of global challenges through the human development lens, seeking to influence policy around the world.
As the world recovers from COVID-19, we recognize this moment as critical for human development because the challenges we are facing transcend borders. How we emerge from this crisis will depend on how we take action together.
From April 27th to May 21st, this Collective Intelligence Space will be “LIVE” to help us, as UN colleagues, develop a set of actions to actualize the 2020 HDR through an integrated and multidisciplinary approach.
The Collective Intelligence Space features discussants who are sharing brief inquiries, provocations, and examples to nudge the conversation forward. We invite you to take the lead over the next 3 weeks by contributing with your related and complementary perspectives and experiences.
Given the HDR’s strong focus on whole-of-systems solutions, this collective intelligence space will seek to trigger discussions not around individual actors but around three mechanisms for change—social norms and values, incentives and regulation, and nature-based human development. Each mechanism for change comes with multiple potential roles for each of us, for governments, for financial markets, for political and civil society leaders.
