Welcome
As the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Regional Programme for Arab states 2018-2021 approaches its end, UNDP has launched a consultative design process to discuss regional and sub-regional priorities, as well as the programmatic approach for the years 2022-2025. This involves the participation of UNDP key partners and stakeholders that are supporting the development agenda in the region and globally. To ensure wide representation, through this online consultation UNDP aims at engaging civil society, academia and think tanks, organizations and networks from the region as enablers of change and strategic partners for the achievement of Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The process will help shed light on needs, demands and ideas for change of involved stakeholders, including vulnerable groups to:
- Facilitate a collaborative process to co-design a new Regional Programme document and offer based on engagement from across the region
- Propose an offer that presents actionable programmatic and policy options at the regional level and that is fully integrated within UNDP’s 2022-25 Strategic Plan.
Please take a look at the background document which includes details on main development challenges in the Arab region and key priority areas of intervention as identified by UNDP. Then go to the discussion room and answer one or more of the guiding questions. |
Impact
As information is gathered through the online engagement, experiences and ideas would feed into the Regional Programme document for Arab States 2022-2025, which will be the guiding framework for UNDP’s intervention in the Arab region for the next 4 years.
