The global pandemic is having a devastating impact on Small Island Developing States, with up to 90% of GDP derived directly or indirectly from tourism in some countries. As part of the socio-economic recovery the UNDP Future-Tourism (FUT-Tourism): Rethinking Tourism and MSMEs in times of COVID-19 project is hosting a regional dialogue series with the 10 countries of the Eastern Caribbean[1]. to explore the emerging trends and opportunities to build forward better, with the ultimate goal to build resilience to shocks, harness digital innovation, and enhance sustainable practices. 

This event, the 3rd in the series will focus on digital requirements for Caribbean MSMEs to build their tourism offer such as:

  • Online payments and Mobile payments
  • Contact tracing and digital aps for health and safety
  • Data analytics and real-time monitoring
