Day 3: Policy Dialogue

Yujing Zheng

Dear colleagues and partners,

It is our pleasure to cordially invite you to attend the online Stockholm+50 Stakeholders Consultation: "A healthy planet for the prosperity of all - our responsibility, our opportunity", on Thursday 28 April and Friday 29 April.

Jointly organized by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), this event is part of the global national consultations that will precede the 50th anniversary of the UN Stockholm Declaration that will take place in Stockholm on 2 and 3 June 2022.

The Stakeholders Consultation in Beijing will bring together government, the business sector, academia, and youth organizations in China to exchange experiences and knowledge on the topics of just transition towards a low-carbon economy and strengthening actions around the environmental dimensions of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through these exchanges, we aim to inform impactful decision-making that will accelerate achievement of the SDGs and the global climate and environmental agendas.

This Stakeholders Consultation will be held online. It includes a series of high-level interventions, followed by four distinct but interrelated panel sessions. English and Chinese simultaneous interpretation will be provided. The Stakeholders Consultation will be preceded by a Business Roundtable and a Youth Consultation on Wednesday 27 April.

Please find the agenda attached and scan the QR code below to register for the event by Tuesday 26 April.
