WELCOME TO THE NATIONAL CONSULTATION IN THE LEAD UP TO THE STOCKHOLM+50 MEETING
Indonesia's national consultation aims to stimulate an inclusive whole-of-society and whole-of-government dialogue on the main themes of Stockhom+50 as they relate to Indonesian context. This consultation space provides a virtual platform for ideas, insights, innovation, stocktaking important issues and achievements highlighted and further discussed needs for the following three public dialogues.
- Leadership Dialogue 1 : Reflecting on the urgent need for action to achieve a healthy planet and prosperity for all.
- Leadership Dialogue 2 : Achieving a sustainable and inclusive recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Leadership Dialogue 3 : Accelerating the implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development in the context of the Decade of Action.
Indonesia will conduct 3 public dialogues from April to May. The public dialogues will inform Indonesia's key agenda to implement the global environmental agenda and gather stakeholders' views on innovative solutions and bolder commitment to make a healthy planet for the prosperity of all. All relevant major stakeholder groups, including women, youth, older persons, persons with disabilities, indigenous peoples, and local communities, as well as other representatives from civil society and the private sector, are encouraged to contribute to the discussions.
To better inform the stakeholders about Stockholm+50, we started with two introductory webinars to the Stockholm+50 initiative in March 2022 with representatives from universities and civil society, co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The introductory webinars discussed the lessons learnt from Indonesia related to the main themes of Stockhom+50.
Introductory Webinar With Academica
In the 1st Introductory webinar, Dr. Ir. Soeryo Adiwibowo from the University of IPB introduced the development of human-nature relationship in the past 50 years. Dr. Alin Halimatussadiah from the University of Indonesia explained how we evaluated the greenness of economy and COVID-19 recovery. Prof. Arief Anshory Yusuf from Center of SDGs Studies in Padjajaran University explored the many aspects of the paradigm shift needed for sustainable development.

Introductory Webinar With Civil Society Organization
In the 2nd Introductory webinar, Ms. Tasya Karissa from Biorock Indonesia talked about the different perspectives of communities and CSOs’ roles from her experience and research related to coral reef projects, especially how women participation could make a difference. Dr. Mohammad Faisal from Centre of Economic Reform explained the Green Economic development status, the challenges, and best practices from mangrove, waste and agriculture initiatives. Swietenia Puspa Lestari from Divers Clean Action introduced how Indonesia youths were taking actions to tackle marine plastic issues.

Public Dialogue 1 - Rediscovering the Balance of Human-Nature Relationship
With Indonesia’s priorities in mind, the first public dialogue will focus on changing our relationship with nature; producing and consuming sustainably and tackling pollution; justice, inclusion and equitable distribution of welfare between generations. Three expert speakers, Ms. Rosa Vivien Ratnawati from Directorate General of Waste, Hazardous, Toxic and Waste Management (PSLB3) - MoEF, Chalid Muhammad from Green Institute Indonesia, and Imam B. Prasodjo from University of Indonesia will present their ideas and insights in response to build a shared vision on how to forest and land use net sink in Indonesia for achieving a healthy planet and prosperity for all and best practices in relation to implement forest and land use net sink in Indonesia and possibility to be show casing in the Stockholm+50 years leadership dialogues in Stockholm, 2-3 June 2022.

Public Dialogue 2 - Advancing Sustainable and Inclusive Recovery Initiatives in Indonesia
The second public dialogue will deep dive Indonesia on-going experiences tackling Covid 19 pandemic, by formulating and implementing green recovery programme under the framework of National Economic Recovery (PEN) program: recovery activities in key sectors and value chains affected by Covid; utilization of innovation and technology, including digital technology for transparency and disclosure of information, with best practices from the activities of the national environmental and forestry recovery program; private sector contribution to sustainable covid recovery. Moderated by Suryo Adiwibowo as Senior Advisor to the Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry, there are 3 speakers, Hartono as Head of the Peat and Mangrove Restoration Agency, Inge Retnowati as Director of Inland Water and Mangrove Rehabilitation-Directorate General of Watershed Management and Forest Rehabilitation, and Indah Budiani as Director of the Indonesia Business Council for Sustainable Development.
Public Dialogue 3 - Advancing Resource Mobilization to Support Environment Protection, Biodiversity and Climate Agenda
One of the important elements to materialize the global environmental agenda, and recover stronger from the Covid 19 pandemic, is resource mobilization to finance more sustainable projects, both green and blue related portfolios. The last public dialogue will explore Indonesia’s innovative financing framework; map Indonesia's environment and climate finance; discuss transparency, accountability and integrity issues. It will provide platforms for ideas, insight, and innovation that build a shared vision on how to increase sustainable financing significantly for achieving a healthy planet and prosperity for all; offer clear recommendations for governments, civil society and private sector on priority actions that can advance global finance framework for achieving low carbon, biodiversity, and resilient future; and identify Indonesia’s best practices in relation to innovative financing. Ir. Laksmi Dewanthi MSc as Director General of Climate Change Control at the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Dian Lestari as Head of the Center for Climate Change and Multilateral Financing Policy (PKPPIM) at the Ministry of Finance represented by Joko Tri Haryanto, DR. Suzanty Sitorus as Deputy Chairperson of the Indonesian Philanthropy Association, and Muhammad Ichlassul Amal as Green Leadership Indonesia KLHK 2021 alumni as speakers.
