Welcome to your Digital Public Goods for the Paris Agreement Community of Practice!
This is a community of countries and practitioners who are learning and sharing lessons learned on national digital enhanced transparency systems and carbon registries.
Together, we are working towards a federated digital public infrastructure for transparency under the Paris Agreement.
We will have regular group workshops, recorded sessions and asynchronous consultations as well condensed knowledge products.
Collaboration on a National Transparency System:

- National MRV System (coming soon!)
- Carbon Registry (code ready to install here: https://github.com/undp/carbon-registry)
The purpose of the community of practice is to co-develop Digital Public Good Infrastructure for the national implementation of digital tools for the operational aspects of the Paris Agreement. This includes all the formal requirements that result from the continued Paris negotiation processes and the resulting national legislation, as well as the business requirements of project technology supply chains and the needs of local communities with a stake in the climate actions supported under the mechanism.
The community will convene regularly and discuss the various aspects required for MRV systems and carbon registries to:
1. Share lessons learnt from each county on the process, technology selection and challenges
2. Gain insights from international experts on cutting edge technology, trends and surrounding digital ecosystems
These discussions will feed directly into the design and development of software by the UNDP DPG developer team as well as external contributors to open source code base.
The community will interact asynchronously in a forum and will feed the generation of knowledge management products such as reports, wikis or videos on SparkBlue. For now, you can find the meeting notes from the first session on the event page and the recording of the inputs here:
