Welcome!
This is a public consultation for the Green Climate Fund (GCF) REDD+ Results-based Payment (RBP) project hosted by UNDP & Indonesian Environment Fund (IEF). The project received RBP of USD 103.78 million as payment for 20.25 million tco2eq of emission reductions achieved from deforestation under its REDD+ program for the period 2014 to 2016. The funds will be invested in the implementation of the National REDD+ Strategy (STRANAS), especially towards the Social Forestry (SF) and Forest Management Units (FMU); with focus on forest & land rehabilitation, fire management, and sustainable livelihoods programmes. The 4-week consultation aims to be an extension of a kick-off inception workshop, providing a space for stakeholders to be informed about the project, provide feedback, as well as have key questions answered. By the end of the consultation, there will be targeted improvements for the project implementation and a deeper understanding of the project by broader stakeholders.

Impact
Through the consultation, we want to capture feedback and inputs on the thematic issue related to the project implementation, namely: 1) Project Results Framework; 2) Performance-based Payment; and 3) GCF-UNDP SES requirements and implementation that will cover the Safeguard Monitoring & Evaluation Plan, including feedback for the Environmental and Social Management Plan, Gender Assessment and Action Plan, Adat Community Plan and Stakeholder Engagement Plan and review of Grievance Redress Mechanisms. The discussion will also capture constructive thinking and horizon scanning on how the four issues above can be best institutionalized and implemented within the project.
