We are excited to invite you to the webinar series "The Digital Hour" organized by the Chief Digital Office (CDO). If you are interested in all things digital, and want to know how others across UNDP and from other agencies and businesses are using digital to maximize their impact, this webinar series is for you.

About this session

How might citizens benefit from an integrated digital justice platform, which brings together ministries, law enforcement, financial institutions and others to provide comprehensive data-informed insights?

Join us on Wednesday, 13 July 2022 for THE DIGITAL HOUR – LEARNING as we discuss the contextual background and emerging benefits of digitalizing justice services in Palestine

The session will focus on Mizan II, a comprehensive court management system, which initially started with case files for the court, then expanded to court filing, evidence storage and scheduling access for lawyers and judges. In addition, direct public access has been added using public terminals. To provide holistic data-insights, the system integrates data flow from other ministries, family support entities, enforcement agencies, correctional facilities and financial institutions.

With its goal of providing actionable data insights, the system can identify risks of corruption or delay and conduct assessment impact related women and girls, to name a few. The system was developed through a collaboration between UNDP and the Palestinian judiciary.

  2. Second, we want to create a forum for learning and discussion, so that others can be inspired by the speakers, ask questions, learn and apply new knowledge and skills to their individual contexts.
