Law and Access: Getting it right by and for key populations in Eastern Europe and Central Asia

"Law and Access: Getting it right by and for key populations” is a virtual dialogue for people living with HIV and other key populations to share experiences countering discriminatory laws and HIV-related criminalization. The Eastern Europe and Central Asia conversation is part of a series of dialogues that are taking place this week, with conversations also taking place in Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia and the Pacific and Africa.

People living with HIV and other key populations continue to face stigma, discrimination and criminalization. At the same time, these very communities are taking action. The SCALE Initiative held a call for submissions in March to hear directly from key populations in PEPFAR-supported countries. Selected speakers will share their experiences in conversation with other community leaders and stakeholders in the region, identifying good practices and emerging opportunities to scale up this critical work.

"Закон и доступ: Добиваясь правильного решения проблем ключевых групп населения" - это виртуальный диалог, в ходе которого люди, живущие с ВИЧ, и другие ключевые группы населения смогут поделиться опытом противодействия дискриминационным законам и криминализации в связи с ВИЧ.  

Люди, живущие с ВИЧ, и другие ключевые группы населения продолжают сталкиваться со стигмой, дискриминацией и криминализацией. В то же время именно эти сообщества предпринимают действия. В марте Инициатива SCALE провела конкурс заявок, чтобы услышать непосредственно от представителей ключевых групп населения в странах, поддерживаемых ПЕПФАР. Отобранные докладчики поделятся своим опытом в беседе с другими лидерами сообществ и заинтересованными сторонами в регионе, выявляя передовой опыт и открывающиеся возможности для расширения масштабов этой важнейшей работы.
