African countries have been generating innovative and context-specific solutions, in collaboration with various development actors, to respond to current development challenges. Against this background, the UNDP, in collaboration with the UNOSSC and its partners, has conducted a mapping to identify African South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC) responses to COVID-19 and beyond

About the event

The report “Accelerating COVID-19 Recovery through Ushikamano wa Pan-Africa” illustrates the strength of Africa’s resilience to the COVID-19 pandemic through the mutual sharing of knowledge, skills and expertise across countries and regions, demonstrating the powerful Pan-African solidarity, as the Swahili word Ushikamano suggests.

This event is co-organized by UNOSSC and UNDP (Africa Sustainable Finance Hub). The objective of the event is to present the key findings of the report and to create space for discussions among core partners - Cameroon, Rwanda, Turkey, China, the OECD and Norway - around SSTC African solutions for combating major crises, such as COVID-19, climate change and food insecurity.
