Join us on Wednesday 14 April, from 7:30 am to 8:45 am EDT, for a joint event co-hosted by the European Commission, UNDP and UN DESA on INFFs: Advancing Implementation in Support of Recovery

This is a side event to share country level reflections on progress made to date in operationalizing INFFs and to provide an overview of the response by the international community to support countries in their INFF journeys.

In 2019, 16 countries committed to pioneering INFFs to finance their national sustainable development efforts. Now, governments in around 70 countries are following suit. The COVID-19 pandemic and its economic fallout have further heightened interest in INFFs, with several countries adopting them in support of their recovery plans.

The international community, led by the United Nations and the European Union, has responded by combining and aligning resources and tools in support of these national efforts, including through targeted technical assistance and methodological guidance.

This side event will bring together policy makers and INFF practitioners from around the world to share early lessons from pioneer countries and to launch the INFF Knowledge Platform as the foundation of a growing Community of Practice working to develop and implement INFFs.
