πŸ›Ž The 1st Regional Conference on South-South Cooperation (SSC) in LAC is taking place on May 30th and 31st, 2023, in Santiago, Chile!

Organized by the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the Regional Conference on SSC in LAC, the objectives of this ECLAC subsidiary body include strengthening national South-South and triangular cooperation (SSTC) mechanisms and exploring potential linkages with North-South and multilateral cooperation. It aims to foster further SSTC among regional and extra-regional stakeholders while also examining the experiences of SSTC in LAC.

πŸ’‘ The Conference will be held on May 30th and 31st, and in-person registration for all participants is available until May 26th, 2023. The Provisional Agenda includes:

  1. The challenges of international development cooperation in the new global context.
  2. Assessment and evaluation of SSTC.
  3. Multi-stakeholder cooperation: opportunities for new #public-private partnerships.
  4. International cooperation in comprehensive management of #risks and #natural disasters.
  5. Cooperation and the Third Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Community of LAC and the EU.
