About the launch event

Join us for an overview presentation of the new e-Course on “Applying Integrated Policy Approaches to Accelerate the 2030 Agenda”, and a roundtable discussion on the importance of policy integration for sustainable development with insights from UN entities and policy practitioners working in Colombia, Indonesia, and South Africa on lessons and challenges in applying integrated policy approaches in their country/ local context.

About the e-Course

The new e-Course on “Applying Integrated Policy Approaches to Accelerate the 2030 Agenda” aims to train UN staff and development practitioners on a common understanding and a core set of tools for delivering SDG policy integration support to governments. This course was designed by UNDP and UNICEF, with support from the UN System Staff College, as part of the work of the Integrated Policy Practitioners’ Network (IPPN). It is currently available on the UN Knowledge Campus, the UNSSC’s virtual campus which provides comprehensive, accessible and effective learning opportunities for UN personnel and partners through innovative learning and communications technologies. 

Participants should have a good understanding of the 2030 Agenda to best be able to apply the tools concepts presented. It is rooted in the 'SDG Primer: Building a Common Understanding of the 2030 Agenda'. It updates the 'MAPS' course on the Agora platform (Integrated Approaches to Mainstreaming, Acceleration and Policy Support for the SDGs) which was launched in 2020 under the auspices of the UNSDG Task Team on Integrated Policy Support.
