Community-led conservation of nature and particularly of coastal and marines areas is more important than ever as Small Island Developing States continue to lead advocacy and champion climate action. Our main presenter, the Mauritian association "Reef Conservation" will share their experience and showcase the results of the project “Community Integration in Marine Conservation, Research and Management through the establishment of Voluntary Marine Conservation Areas”. They will be joined in discussion by two other associations leading community-driven environmental conservation in SIDS.
