UNDP Liberia in partnership with OHCHR has hosted a webinar on "The Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on the Rule of Law - Liberia in a Comparative Perspective" on 16 September 2020.

 

In this session, panelists from governments, academia and the rule of law sector have discussed the effects and impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on justice systems in Liberia and selected ECOWAS countries whose legal systems bear some similarity with the Liberian system, including their reliance on the adversarial tradition. It will address issues of sexual and gender-based violence and human rights violations. 

The session was moderated by Ben Dotsei Maior – Chief Editor of UN News, United Nations
