We live in the overshoot era. A global circular economy will allow us to fulfil people's needs with only 70% of the materials we now extract and use—moving human activity back within the safe limits of the planet. Circular solutions embedded across four global systems can deliver this goal.
The Circularity Gap Reporting Initiative delivers an annual global circularity metric that measures the state of the world economy and identifies key levers to transition to global circularity. It also provides insights into the circularity gap of individual countries and sectors. To improve the analysis and recommendations of all Circularity Gap Reports, the Initiative formed a Global Data Alliance focused on using data as a force for good.
