On 28 April, a National Consultation for the Stockholm +50 Initiative was organised by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Mauritius in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Solid Waste Management and Climate Change.

The event was attended by the Honourable Kavydass Ramano, Minister of Environment, Solid Waste Management and Climate Change; Ms. Amanda Serumaga, UNDP Resident Representative for UNDP Mauritius and Seychelles; Mrs Moheenee Nathoo, Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Environment; the Ambassadors of Sweden and of the European Union, senior officials from various Ministries; and representatives of NGOs, academia, and public and private sector.

This National Consultation is the final event in a series of consultations which have been organised across the island during the months of March and April targeting various stakeholders.
