The development of data-driven technologies opens an array of promising solutions to the unique challenges posed by situations of crisis and fragility.

This session will shed light on a number of initiatives that can support local and international actors engaged in prevention, recovery and peacebuilding. These include:  data modeling to measure fragility, local level data collection, use of big data and satellite imagery.

It will enable an exchange of perspectives across fields and levels on the opportunities as well as the problems raised by an increased use of data, in particular in the areas of user privacy, ethics and human rights
