UN Sustainable Development Report 2021

PUBLICATION

As the pandemic continues to unfold, the report outlines the progress made in poverty reduction, access to electricity, and gender equality, but not enough to achieve the SDGs by 2030. In other vital areas, including reducing inequalities, lowering carbon emissions and tackling hunger, progress has either stalled or reversed. The annual report uses data and estimates from the Global SDG Indicators Database and includes a visually appealing Progress Chart 2021. Read the full report.

IISD Summary Report of the 2021 High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development

The 2021 HLPF included more than 276 side events, ten special events and high-level launches of reports, 17 VNR labs, and 12 virtual exhibitions. Read the full report or jump to the brief analysis. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Forum took up the draft Ministerial Declaration, which emphasizes the need for a resilient recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic that can, over the long term, reinforce, stimulate, and advance the SDGs.

Support to Vaccine Equity: Beyond Recovery, Towards 2030
