Partnering for the Global Goals 2030 (P4G)'s State-of-the-Art Partnerships Award

UNDP, Apolitical, and Amazon Web Services' Future of Government Award
CALL FOR NOMINATIONS – EXTERNAL
Join us to celebrate public servants and government organizations who are championing and deploying digital transformation, resulting in digital technologies that improve lives and livelihoods. This initiative includes three award categories: 1) Digital Innovator of the Year, for individual public servants, 2) Open-Source Creation of the Year, and 3) Open-Source Adaptation of the Year, honoring organizations that have reused open-source solutions. Submit your nominations by 14 October 2022.
Climate Aggregation Platform: Financial Innovation Challenge
CALL FOR PROPOSALS – EXTERNAL
Help us crowdsource novel aggregative approaches to financing low-carbon energy in developing countries, with the potential to be awarded up to USD 40,000 to develop the proposed innovations. Focused on SDG 7 on clean, affordable energy for all and SDG 13 on climate action in one or multiple developing countries in East Africa, proposals may however be submitted by applicants from any country. Submit your application by 31 August 2022.

Data Thursdays: Have Your Say on New Theme Topics in 2022!
APPLIED LEARNING SESSIONS – UN(DP)
Starting again from mid-September, your weekly Data Thursdays interactive sessions will take place every Thursday to explore challenges and best practices for working with data and analytics in both programmatic and operational areas. Anticipatory Governance: The Role of Foresight in Planning and Policymaking

Join this series of UNSCC learning activities to better understand integrated analysis concepts, tools, and products and to strengthen information collection and analytical capacities. UNDESA's Sustainable Development Goals Report 2022
Take a deep dive into this latest flagship report to better understand how the climate crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic and an increased number of conflicts around the world have placed the 17 SDGs in jeopardy. It presents data provided by over 200 countries explaining the severity and magnitude of the challenges, with these cascading and intersecting crises creating spin-off impacts on food and nutrition, health, education, the environment, and peace and security, and affecting all the SDGs.

UNDP's Inclusive by Design: Accelerating Digital Transformation for the Global Goals
Read up on this new report to learn how countries can boost their inclusive digital transformation, and emerging practices that can be adopted to promote a whole-of-society approach. It outlines a set of good practices to boost inclusive digital transformation at the country level featuring real-life examples from Rwanda, Dominica, Bangladesh, Ukraine and other countries.

Scientific Evidence Suggests only Limited Transformative Political Impact of the SDGs
Browse this meta analysis of over 3,000 scientific studies by a team of 61 scholars on the SDGs published between 2016 and April 2021. It suggests that the political impact on institutions and policies has been largely discursive, affecting the way actors understand and communicate about sustainable development. More profound normative and institutional impact, from legislative action to changing resource allocation, remains rare according to this interesting research.

UNDP RBAP Foresight Playbook
Explore the practical entry points to incorporate foresight into UNDP’s work with the aim of building anticipatory capacities to better respond to risk, uncertainty, and opportunities in the future. Building on previous foresight guidance, such as the UNDP 2018 Foresight Manual (2018), this Playbook further outlines the approaches, methodologies, and tools by which UNDP stakeholders can embed anticipation into existing internal planning and design processes.
