A webinar, facilitated by the Rotary Club of Mauritius, the UNDP and the Ministry of Environment, Solid Waste Management and Climate Change, was held, yesterday 13 April 2022, in the context of the forthcoming Stockholm+50 event to commemorate 50 years of global climate action. This virtual consultation gathered around 60 participants including panelists from the Rotary Club of Beau-Bassin/Rose Hill, the Junior Chamber International of Curepipe, the Interact and Rotaract Clubs of Beau-Bassin/Rose-Hill and the Rotary Club of Haute Rive.

The presentations delivered by the members of these nonprofit organisations showcased the work done by their respective entities towards the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals. This event was also an opportunity for representatives of the UNDP and of the MOE to share reflections with the audience on the three leadership themes of the Stockhom+50 initiative namely : prosperity for all on a healthy planet; a green and inclusive recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic, and the environmental dimension of the SDGs.

The contributions of these organisations will be included in a report which will be submitted to the Stockholm+50 event, scheduled for the 02 and 03 June 2022.
