UNDP's Learning for Nature programme, the Environmental Governance Programme (EGP), and the Intergovernmental Forum on Mining, Minerals, Metals and Sustainable Development (IGF) are offering a new FREE Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) on Gender and Mining Governance. This course facilitated in English, French and Spanish compiles research from leading institutions in the industry to build awareness and skills in regard to gender governance in the mining industry. 

We invite you to register here for the second iteration of the Gender and Mining Governance MOOC, which will start on 13 September 2021 and run until 10 October 2021. The course is aimed at representatives of governments, mining companies and civil society working on the promotion gender equality in the mining industry, but is open to everyone.

Gender and Mining Governance MOOC

The 2020 Gender and Mining Governance MOOC was a great success, attended by 1,390 participants from 90 countries. According to a course survey, 97.5% of graduates reported they will use knowledge generated from the course to influence policy going forward.

The Environmental Governance Programme (EGP) is a joint initiative of the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and UNDP supporting countries to integrate environmental and human rights protection into the governance of the mining sector.
